Author: i have a daughter turning 11 in a week and a half, and i am finding it to be very frustrating to plan this party for her, weve thought about pizza and a movie. also my our olest son is turning 6 in a week and a half, weve always had birthdays together,but are trying to get away from that, any ideas. please help im desperate.
Yes, it is time for their parties to be SEPARATE.
For the girl, do a dress up tea-party. Bring adult clothes, hats, shawls, they can dress up in,let them put makeup on too. Then serve them a tea party with little finger sandwiches, and petit-fours. Set the table with china and make it very grown up. They will love it.
For the boy, do a pirate treasure hunt theme. Let them make their swords, eye patches, parrots, and pirate hates out of cardboard or paper. Then set them on a treasure hunt in the back yard, the park nearby, or in the house. Get gold coin chocolates for party favors and serve them rugged food, sloppy joes, and for the cake make it a treasure chest shape – maybe even several of them (breadpan shape).

I think he would enjoy lot’s of cocaine ,whores, and dirty gambling………see if you can get John Hagee to show up, I have a one way ticket to Israel stapled to a ball bat I’d like to give him….repeatedly.
Does anyone know where I can find characters for a kids party? I want to get Blue from Blues Clues.?
I live in Long Island. I’m even having a hard time finding all the party favor stuff with Blues Clues. It seems that no one really carries it anymore. It’s my son’s favorite and I would love to make his day special!
I threw a Blues Clues party when my kid was 6 yrs old. It was a blast. Now I drew and colored my own characters. Each of the guests had to go to each character to find their 3 clues and the last one went to me "Steve-ette" so they could get their goody bag. I made sure to put a kazoo in each and made it so they got their goody bag at the start of the party. We sang all the songs and even got mail. I made the cake, blue frosting in the shape of a bone.
